  13. I think God can actually use us better in the middle of a mess, when everything is going wrong, when nothing seems to fit, when we don't get it right. That's when God can step in, clean up the mess, and teach us, oh, so much!   16. (which i did, and was told i had a virus). Then one day, waking up with one side fully paralyzed, freaking out. But i pushed through it and worked that day. Up until i had been in the emergancy room for over 8 hours i didnt know i had had a stroke, until a doctor came by, looked in, said “we think you had a stroke” and left for another ten minutes.   21. I am not entirely clear how a single payer system would remedy the shortage problem. As in my post above, the better conclusion is that our standard health care market interventions promote rather than reduce the likelihood of shortages. Single payer policies in farming, for example, have never been particularly successful, as the mass starvations in the the Soviet and Chinese systems have demonstrated. Such shortages are expected whenever a government attempts to control prices.

  26. Thank you. I have always believed that a person only has the right to speak into someones life if they have earned that persons respect. It does no good for me to speak a message from heaven itself if no one is willing to listen. But a single word can change the world if spoken to a heart that can accept it. Showing common kindness is my way of letting someone know I care about them.

A drastic way to speed up the site…!The Aussie dollar is up, so I gave a little extra ;)I read the post by El Inglés (and his previous one), and I found it uncomfortable and disturbing — for the simple reason that I had trouble arguing against it.I don’t know what’s going to happen in Europe — I intend to see as much of it as I can before it disappears.I do think El Inglés has taken the extrapolation a bit too far — your suggestion of “a Balkanized patchwork of warring factions existing in a state of chronic low-level warfare” seems more likely to me.

There are mant instances where citizens have worked to clean up the city, but they rarely get any support from the city, or any recognition.We know about the Boulevard, but do you know of the Korean veterans cleaning up on Mix street during the LL tournament, the nice ladies who take care of the island on Hill and Pinehurst, or the elected official, my neighbor, who adopted a 200 foot stretch and cleaned it, mows it and has planted flowers?I am sure that there are many like this.Lets encourage them, lets support them, lets copy them.Then we will have an even better city.
